Our 4 self catering cottages are former stone farm buildings set in a quiet location on our 400 acre mixed farm. The cottages were built in the 18th Century and converted in 2001. The cottages are old therefore some of the doors and ceilings, especially The Dairy, are lower than usual. Other cottages have beams and sloping ceilings. We have tried to provide as much information in this statement as possible but everyone's needs and requirements are different so we encourage our guests to contact us to discuss their personal requirements.
Enquiries / bookings can be made via our website, e-mail, social media or telephone.
We send all information by email but can be sent by post by request. Large print of all letters can be available.
Due to our location we recommend that you arrive by car.
The nearest train stations are at St Germans and Saltash. Taxi information can be provided on request. Markwell Farm is about 2 miles from the nearest buses, either Plymouth Citybus or National Express.
If you are arriving by plane we will try and help with car hire information.
We offer travel cot and booster seats free of charge. There is a fixed stairgate in The Shippen.
There is a shop in Landrake village, about 1.5 miles away and all the large supermarkets, along with the local butcher and vegetable shop offer deliveries. These need to be arranged for after your arrival if possible.
All our cottages and buildings are Non Smoking. Smoking is permitted outside the cottages as long as it does not affect other guests.
3 of our cottages (not The Granary) accept dogs, max 2 per cottage. They are allowed to be exercised on the farm as long as on a lead near livestock. Please clean up after your dog in the cottage gardens. We do not allow dogs to be left in the cottages unattended.
Markwell farm is located 5 minutes from Landrake village and the A38.
